About the Brand

Briutea is an online tea store brand with a vision for environmental protection, ethical supply chain management, and organic ingredients in its products. This unique brand offers a wide range of products, the health benefits of the tea it offers, and guidance to the right product through a user-friendly product matching questionnaire.

The Brief

Logo design, packaging and an easy-to-use e-commerce website with a good user experience. Beyond functionality, the product design is conveying a sense of vitality and naturalness. This makes users feel comfortable and encourage them to stay longer and discover more about the various products on the site.

The Branding Process

Logo Design and Naming

I chose the name Briutea for the brand - it means "healthy" in Hebrew and is also a combination of the words "health" in Hebrew and "tea" in English.

I designed a logo that is consisting of a green tea plant that integrates with the letter B in the logotype to convey and reinforce the message to the target audience that this is a brand that sells organic and healthy tea products.

Typography

I chose the Marjoram font, which I customized (reduced its height) for the logotype because it resembles the stems of tea leaves in its shape and thus it reinforces the context of herbalism and organic ingredients.

I chose the Helius font for the body text to convey a modern and pleasant sense to the user. The minimalist shape of the font contributes to creating a clean and tidy look, while maintaining an overall elegant feel and atmosphere.

Brand Colors

I chose green and golden orange for the logo because these colors represent tea - green represents tea as a fresh leaf and a connection to the plant world, and golden orange is created by steeping tea in a cup of hot water.

I chose a brown color for the body text on the site to represent dried infusions and brown soil - an association with nature.

I chose off-white for the site background and green-white for the product tabs to instill a sense of cleanliness, delicacy and elegance, and black-dark brown for the footer and header for contrast and also to convey a sense of luxury and quality.
